The Toasters was one of the first American bands in the third wave of ska, and is one of the longest active third wave ska bands. They have released nine studio albums, most of them on Moon Ska Records. The Toasters experienced a small degree of commercial success in the late 1990s due to the popularity of third wave ska in North America. Their song “Two-Tone Army” is also the theme song for the Nickelodeon show KaBlam! (credited as the Moon Ska Stompers) and they recorded background music in many TV commercials, including for America Online and Coca-Cola. Their song “Don’t Let The Bastards Grind You Down” appeared in the pilot episode of the animated series Mission Hill. They still perform around the world, and in 2007 they celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a new studio album, One More Bullet.

The ska punk band Pridigarji (‘The Preachers’) was formed in 1987 in Ormož, Slovenia. Its first recording Zadnji odcep uza paleozoik – Last Exit to Paleozoik, was released by the Front Rock label in 1989. Since 1994 five CDs have been released on its independent Ohoho record label – Podvig z napako – The Rise with Mistake (1994), Počasne preproge – Slow Carpets (1995), Na vrat na nož – On the Throat on the Knife (1997), Idioti v hali slavnih – Idiots in Hall of Fame (1999, co-produced by Front Rock), Vse ali več – All or More (2002) and Nizki udarci na visokem nivoju – Low Blows on High Level (2011, produced by Front Rock). Pridigarji music also appears on various compilations (No Border Jam, Zgaga Festival, Unterhund veselica, OX, Plastic Bom, K4, SLOkompAnija, This is Ska, Ska Factor Positive). The band has mainly performed in Slovenia although some of its 400 gigs have taken place in Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Bohemia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia. In 1993 a major German tour called ‘Slovenia Six Pack’ was organised in the wake of the previous tours IdiotSKA, DebilSKA, KretenSKA and ImbecilSKA in the Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.
Currently the members of the band are: Davorin Bešvir – bass & vocals; Domen Obilčnik – guitar; Andrej Rakuša – sax, Matej Mertik – trombone; Saša Barin – trumpet; Širovnik Vičar Aljoša – synth, Kruno Karlovčec – drums.

DiscoBalls are a band from Prague that was formed in 2006. They play music based on Ska with Soul feeling and Punk roughness. The sound of the Balls is characterized by cartoon-like horns, ska guitar that makes trips from country to HC, groovy disco bass, peremptory drums and girly sweet voice. During summer 2008, DiscoBalls has recorded its first album named DiscoVery Channel that was nominated for the best Czech album in the category Ska and Reggae in the Czech version of Grammy.
The album is sold-out now and it is available for free download on their web site. Over the years, The DiscoBalls have played over 200 concerts all around Czech Republic and in Slovakia, Poland, Austria and Germany.
